Wooo who knew turning / being 19 would be so stressful!!? God has truly surrounded me with some amazing friends and I am so blessed I got to spend such a wonderful weekend with them. There are 6 of us at school that are almost inseparable, Kaci, Chelsea, Mercedes, Colin and my wonderful boyfriend Austin. They bring so much light to every room they enter. Each of them has a different spark in them and when we put us all together it gets dangerous in a way. This weekend we decided to take a road trip to the Houston Rodeo, and since Austin and his family live close by in League City his family was wonderful and let us stay at their house.
Friday when we got there we all loaded up and went to watch his young sister, Faith, play soccer down the road from her house. If you know me you know that I love soccer but have no clue what the heck is going on… After the game, we went back to Austin’s and waited for my parents to show up. The boys went outside and cooked fajitas while the girls stayed inside and talked. After dinner, Austin and I had our little Birthday celebration and I got to open my presents a day early (with my poppa things like that do not usually happen LOL) Soon after my parents left and we got ready for bed.
Saturday, March 5th, 2016= MY 19TH BIRTHDAY. I feel as if God knew I needed the most relaxing day yet and that is exactly what he gave me. The morning was nowhere near rushed we got ready and headed to Houston for the Rodeo and to see Cole Swindell.. by the way he is amazing at concert!! The rodeo was great and not only did Kaci’s parents get to come, but while we were walking around I ran into some old family friends that I used to show livestock with! After the rodeo, we went back towards League City and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory then the girls and I stayed in a hotel with my wonderful parents.
Sunday morning we finally got to sleep in and relax just a little longer. We woke up and got ready and headed back to Austin’s house to hang out for a little longer before we all left. Faith made us some amazing brownies and we just lounged around. We left around 1:30 and on our way home we actually got to meet two of my cousins Chloe and Payne in Schulenburg! We had lunch and got back on the road. When we got back to school we decided that we should make cookies and friendship bracelets. It was an amazing last night in the dorm and am so blessed I got to spend it with my five peeps.
Lastly, I want everyone to remember God is good and has an amazing plan for each and every one of us. We may not like the route it takes to get to the final product but he would not have this plan if he didn’t think it would be great for us. I feel that so many people struggle with this and that I as a Christian need to remind people that it will work out God knows exactly what he is doing and why he is doing it.
Good night everyone
