What a CRAZY Time

These last couple of nights have been weird. For the first time I have had an uneasy feeling about all of this COVID-19 stuff! It has been one month since Kyle and I got engaged, one month since we have seen each other AND about one month since this crazy pandemic broke out in the United States.

For those of you that do not know Kyle is a firefighter in Fayetteville Arkansas, so when I am home, in Odem we are 12 hours away from each other but when I am in Oklahoma we are right at 3 hours apart. So not only does the distance make it difficult but more than that this pandemic has made it extremely hard! I worry about him and who he might come in contact with during this time.

Today I was out on the boat fishing with my parents and decided to jam to some worship music, “Way Maker” to be exact. Have you seen the videos of cars outside hospitals singing that song and worshiping!? If not you need to ASAP, it is amazing.

Anyways while listening to this song I took a second to pause. Pause and just listen so closely to the words of this song. While doing that I got a rush of calmness and peace over me. The part of the song that brought chills all over my body is the main chorus.

“Way Maker, Miracle worker, Promise keeper, Light in the Darkness My God that is who you are.”

This could not be more true!

MIRACLE Worker, Our God works the most amazing Miracles and that is truly what I feel HE can do with this pandemic.

PROMISE Keeper, He Promises to never fail us and that could not be more true especially during this time!

Light in the Darkness, He is there during our darkest times and keeps that promise with us because that is who HE is.

I know I am not the only one feeling some anxiety during this time, but I pray that you know, He is a Way Maker, a Miracle Worker, a Promise Keeper and a Light in this Darkness. Remember to pray during this time and to lean on those around you. I pray that you all are staying safe and staying healthy and sending an extra special prayer for the first responders and health care workers daily. Thank you for all that you do!

Much Love always,
